I already have my processor picked out....

(Socket AM2) AMD Athlon™64 X2 5200+ Dual-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology

but I'm not sure which of these mobo's would be better....

(Socket AM2)MSI K9N4 SLI-F nForce 500 SLI Chipset DDR2/800 SATA-II RAID MBoard w/16x PCI-Express MBoard w/GbLAN,IEEE1394,USB2.0,&7.1Audio
or
(Socket AM2)GigaByte GA-M55SLI-S4 nForce4 SLI Chipset DDR2/800 SATA 16x PCI-Express MBoard w/GbLAN,IEEE1394,USB2.0,&7.1Audio

I know there are better processors and better mobo's out there but I have a limited budget to work with and I'm not ready to go with core 2 duo yet. So which one do you guys think is better?

They both have the same chipset seeing as the NF4 series was renamed the 500 according to MSI's webpage. Basically it comes down to which board has the features and layout you like. They should perform the same.

should have bought an E6600 core 2 in that price range... or saved a bunch and just bought the E6300. I bought my E6300+ mobo for about as much as that CPU you bought.... and my CPU can run 3Ghz stable.
