The acting White House cyber czar has resigned even though there is no one to replace her in this all important role. What will we do? How will we live? And yes, this is sarcasm.

A “czar” position is the exact opposite of what we need to successfully defeat cyber space adversaries. The botnet that denies service to your governmental web sites might have been assembled by a Brazilian, who borrowed code from an Israeli, who launders his money through a Russian. None of them have met in person, and next month they may all switch roles - and throw in some Americans and Chinese to boot - for a totally different attack. A cyber czar is fighting a network with an org chart.

Damn, we lost another 100k+ a year position that's absolutely useless? How are we supposed to look like the US of A damnit! I say we promote one of the 18 assistants he had working for him up to Czar!
 
Probably fired for letting the cars.gov "privacy message" slip out to the public. They'll find someone to execute their agenda with less slip ups.
 
These Czars are just like Pez Candy. One pops out by resigning there's another one right behind it. The scary thing is that this Pez dispensers have no limit, so Obama can just stick in whichever thug he deems to be his next close disciple.
 
The reason Obama uses Czars is because if they had to go through the confirmation process they would be revealed to be the left wing radicals that they really are.

didn't Russia have Czars? Russia the Obama Administration... what's the difference?

Wow... just Wow... nice lining up the dots to communism! (which btw the Czars in Russia is a type of monarchy, had NOTHING to do with socialism or communism, or any other isms!). And for the people with short attention spans, Bush had plenty of Czars too, maybe one name people remember... Karl Rove? anyone? anyone?

Czar is an informal term for important high-ranking figures in particular fields from departments under the president. Nothing more.

Cybersecurity Czar is simpler than "Head of Computer and Information Security at the Department of Homeland Security."
 
I'd love to hear this ex- "cyber czar" detail exactly what her day to day duties were (if any.) It's always most interesting to hear DIRECTLY from that person what they "do" on a day to day basis.

Reminds me of Office Space "But I've got people skills, can't you see that!!"

And of course if her knowledge of "cyber stuffs" goes beyond Al Gore's internets being a series of tubes...

Poor kids.. Czar means exactly the same as Cesar, as in Gaius Julius Caesar: "The Emperor". The word Cesar was used later in Rome to refer to all the Emperors that came after him...And btw, the last in Czar Russia was murdered along with all his Family by the Communist Bolsheviks. Don't you see Disney? Anastasia anyone? Helloooouuuu?!!!
So I don't know who had the bright Idea of using the word Czar to call an elected Officer. But hey, you are using Communist and Socialist indistinctly, which in the end is the same shit in ugly and pink versions but yet, different.

The difference is getting an education so you know they are not similar in any way. Or you could just make an ass of yourself insulting everyone else without any logical backing or to simply compensate for your own inadequacies.

That was my reaction to the whole "left wing radicals" idea. Obama is extremely "vanilla moderate". Democrats thought they were getting a guy that was left wing. He is very moderate in reality and policy. In the UK his views would be considered very "right wing". Its only because the USA is so right wing that people without perspective call him "left wing" because the talking heads they listen to without question tell their people that out of desperation.

And the sad part is that general education funding is under the chopping block.
You know parents won't compensate by filling in the knowledge gaps, which were big enough before they started withdrawing ed. funds.

Education is funded and controlled by State, County, and City governments. Federal does not play a majority role in it.

Hawaii Department of health already declared they have the long form on file. This is a dead end for conspiracy nuts. Besides, he won the majority of the vote, grwe up in the USA so effectively what does it matter where he was born. I have no doubt he was born In Honolulu, Hi.

I suppose I should have put one of those emoticons at the end of my post to signify I was kidding. Holy shit the vitriol after my post was crazy, although I suppose my post sounded crazy if I was taken seriously.

Educate your self and look into who some of these Czars are and their past affiliations. Scary stuff.
I don't think I ever saw such a reaction when People were calling the Bush administration Fascist, Nazis the devil and so on and so on. Not that I'm defending him. Defending him would be difficult at best.

This thread reminds me of BING commercials. More like a word association game rather than an actual discussion.

At any rate, the minute you start calling somebody a 'czar' you start taking power out of the peoples hands, which is what our country is founded upon. Good riddance to this "cyber czar" and let the rest of them follow.
