White water from dtekcustoms does not fit 965 mobos

Just a heads up, the white water from dtekcustoms did not fit my DS3 board because because of componets around the socket and it looks like all other 965 boards have the same problem.

Ordered a TDX to try.
 
Did they list on their web site or state to you that it WOULD fit your MB?

It is listed as compatibile with LGA775, which the 965 boards are.
 
Email them again. If they don't respond, talk to your credit card company. As bitchy as it is, the site DOES state it's compatible.

Save all your emails, and make sure you contact them alot.

Problem is, it looks to me like Gigabyte broke the spec for socket 775.

Check out page 29 of the specification. That file doesn't mention 965, but the socket spec is almost definitely identical. If you find a 965 spec sheet, it's worth a look, though.
 
i looked at all the 965 boards that support conroe and they all look to have parts very close to the socket. I have all my emails and everything on record. ill try emailing again.

I'm a dumbass. The picture I was looking at was for the MCH. Something about the proportions didn't seem right. Sorry for the false alarm.
