Will Benq Scaling be Firmware Fixable?

I don't know much about how firmware works for hardware. I really want a new monitor, and I was looking forward to getting the Benq, but the lack of scaling is a BIG issue for me since I plan to use it with my xbox 360 and other equipment...plus I have an ATI card. So do you guys think it's possible, or even likely that they will fix the problem with a firmware upgrade?

If it isn't a feature of the monitor out of the box then a firmware upgrade is not going to add scaling at the hardware level...it's not that simple. If you have an Nvidia videocard the Forceware drivers do a good job with that on a software level for any monitor.

Ah I see. So basically the only thing that can happen is they would have to incorporate it into their Z version, or release a new revision of the monitior.
