In an effort to quiet my living room (as I have recently relocated my PC there) and have a smaller "footprint" for my PC I would like to transfer my main system components to a shuttle case... heres what i've found so far

shuttle box

...and comming from my full antec case into this would be..

AMD 64 2800+ (NOT Sempron)
2x512 Corsair Value RAM PC3200
6600GT with the Zalman VF700 AlCu 2 heatsink
120gig Seagate HD
Lite-on dvd burner

My concerns are ..

1. Clearence for the Heatsink on the 6600gt
2. Proc compatibility.. (Its an early 2800 so I don't think it will be an issue)
3. Enough power for the proc and vid card (I think its only a 200w supply
4. Cooling & noise

Everything seems like it will work and give me a SFF that produces less overall system noise, but I don't want to waste almost $200 if its not worth it

Some opinions would be appreciated

Thanks

Looks like you should be ok for the Proc:

AMD Athlon 64 socket 754 2800+

As for the VF700, I don't think it would fit without some serious case modification. Even the stock cooler on my 6800GT only has a couple mm of clearance in my SN45G.

Power wise you should be fine. I've been running a 6800GT OC and a 3200+ XP with the stock 200W supply in my SN45G for almost 2 years without a hitch.

yeah... the clerance was my main concern... every SFF i've built so far has always used the onboard video.. oh well .. mybe when AMD cuts it's prices i'll build a seconday SFF box and use a vid card with stock cooling ...

thanks for the help..
