Win 7 Icon issue

I have a strange problem. Accidentally deleted ImgBurn from taskbar.
I reinstalled the program, however the icon is still missing, replaced by a generic program icon. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't you just delete the generic icon, and then find ImgBurn in your Start Menu, and right click on it? There should be an option to Pin To Taskbar.

That is the problem, the program icon does not appear anywhere, Start Menu, Desktop, even the program folder has the generic icon.

What happens if you try changing the icon itself? Then you can point it to ImgBurn's exe file and make sure it is using the proper icon. DVDfab HD Decrypter does this to me every once in a while.

Try rebuilding the icon cache. Windows 7 has some issues with the icon cache, unfortunately.

I had a similar issue with the icons. I manually selected the icon saved in the exe.
