For the longest time now, I've been unable to synchronize the local time with a time server, it keeps coming up with a 'destination unreachable' error.

Is there a particular service I need to check, to see if it's running? Alternatively, I wonder if there's a port I need to redirect on my IPCop box as well.

I have had the same thing on one specific system... I have checked all through the Microsoft support places and no fixes... so I use a program called Atomic Clock Sync v2.7 which takes care of it for me.

I had that problem for a long time. Might be a router issue or something. Not sure. It disappeared when I updated to Vista and I haven't thought about it since.

'Windows Time' service needs to be started, make sure it's set to Automatic.

By asking if there is a service that needs to be running for it, to me, sounds like you've been tweaking shit. Which, you've probably messed something up some where.
