I've read on a couple different forums that, with Windows7, one is able to mix NV and ATI cards in one system where, on older Windows versions, it was difficult or, in many cases, impossible. Is this true, is anyone here running NV and ATI in the same box?

I want to add an ATI card as my primary display adapter but leave my existing NVIDIA card in the second slot for CUDA crunching so I don't have to pause it while gaming on the ATI card.

My Core i7 920 @ 4GHz shouldn't cause any bottleneck so this should be doable if the video drivers can coexist.

yes windows 7 it can be done.. vista im not sure on and its not possible with xp as far as i know..

Muli adapters works fine on win2k/XP and windows 7. They don't work well in vista due to the video driver kernal mode change.
