I need to use windows media encoder(WME) v9 to create several(10-17) small(30-45 second) a night. This will be done by employees late at night when I won't be around, and I need it to be fairly straight forward. They will be capturing from professional a/v equipment to a winnov videum capture card. It won't be going live for another month, but I want to get everything setup now.

The problem I'm having is the way WME writes its output. I have the choice of either pushing it to a server, pull from an encoder, or archive to a file. I want to archive to a file, but, it will always output to the same damn filename, and prompt to overwrite it, rather than just picking a new name. Is there a way to get it to increment a number appending to the filename(eg. race01.wmv, race02.wmv...etc)? It seems like it should be fairly straightforward, if MS provided a function for it. I've searched google, but I either can't find the right keywords, or there is nothing on the topic.
