I am trying to install Windows on my Raptor 74gig and the computer sees the drive on the startup screen but when windows starts to install it doesn't show the sata drive, just my ide drive. I have tried to install sata drivers from a floppy but it never works properly. My mobo is the Asus A8V deluxe. Any ideas, thanks.

Do a forum search for slipstreaming drivers into xp install. Other than that the ONLY way is to load the drivers during install from floppy.

I have a floppy drive I am switching between the two machines. Could someone just show me which are the ccorrect drivers? There are so many to pick from on ASUS's website that I am not sure which ones are correct for me. Thanks

most motherboards have a setting in the bios that sets the function of the SATA controller, this must be set to SATA otherwise its set to RAID and it will not work
