I'm not generally a Mac person, but i recently setup a wireless Mighty Mouse on my mothers' Apple laptop. Everthing worked fine while i was there, But now there seems to be a problem. Every two seconds the pointer automatically jumps to the upper left hand corner right below the time.

I'm going to go over to try to rememdy the situation, but i'm not really sure where to start with a mac. I *believe* that they have already tried using the corded mouse, but i'm not positive. Where should i start to fix this?

get the mighty mouse software cd, insert it and it should start right up, open AppleMouseSoftware.pkg and let 'er rip, and reset the bluetooth divices in the top right corner of the screen using a wired mouse.

what kind of surface is it on? It's a well known issue for the mighty mouse to behave like that if it's not on an "acceptable" surface. If there is no mouse pad you may want to get one, if there is a mouse pad you may want to try a different one.
