I have 400GB WD drive, some bad file corrupted the HD it would just freeze my whole system when trying to access it. I put it in my Vista machine (I have two PCs - one XP one Vista box) and after chkdsk it seemed fine so I started backing up all the files, after backing up about 80 gigs I proceeded to delete those copied files and it's where everything went bad...

I couldn't delete few files so I skipped them, after all done that drive disappeared and never came back up, no matter how many times I rebooted or swapped that HD b/w PC's, run chkdsk...

Is there anything else I can do to make that drive visible, I still want to back up remaining stuff that I have on it, I really do. Is there a software or anything else I can do to access that drive.

If that doesnt work get a tool like HDD Regenerator, Spinrite etc.
They work on low level so are compatible with all drive formats and future ones so will remain a useful tool.

If the drive can be salvaged, tools like this are very likely to do it.
Beyond that, its a hard disk repair specialist who are very expensive!
