Woot 10/30/06 DLP projector plus screen $649 AR

In case any one is the market. Don't know anything about this except that it seems like a good deal. Only a 480p projector.

I took a good look at it, but I just can't afford it right now. A quick google search revealed some promising reviews. I think CNET wanted to make babies with it .

On another note... I HATE REBATES.

yeah, but look at the native resolution. 854x480. still for $650 it would be a great intro projector and is drop dead sexy looking. I paid a little more than that for my x1 back in the day.

are projectors pretty much like LCDs in the sense that non-native resolutions look pretty crappy?

depends ont he scaler. My x1 has a decent scaler. the native res is 800x600 but 1024x768 looks just fine.
