Im looking to either buy a monitor that nobody wants anymore that maybe has a bad picture tube or something but still a good D-board, or if somebody is willing to pull the D-board out I will purchase it.
I bought the HP A7217A about one year ago. Worked flawlessly until a couple weeks ago. I have the same exact problem you do. When powering on it "clicks", goes green, then flashes amber. Is the D-Board the circuit board located right at the back of the monitor?
I also have a 21in trinitron. I replaced a resistor on the board located in the back. The monitor had brightness issues.
Anyway, I think I'll do some tinkering around with it and see what I can do. If you come up with anything please tell me!
