Looking to purchase these specific models of IBM Model M, any date, any color, any manufacturer. How do you know if it's a Model M? One, it's loud when typing. Two, it weighs a ton. If you're not sure which model, flip it over, and it's on the sticker on the back.
The easiest way to identify these two models is that M5-1's have a trackball between the arrow and insert key rows, M5-2 locates a four or eight button trackball above the lock indicator LEDs, and the M13 has a trackpoint located in the middle. I'll also consider Mini Trackpoints, but only IBM or Unicomp. (Trackpoint is eraser-nub mouse.)
Because some models are definite collector's pieces, it will vary depending on exact model, condition, etcetera whether or not I definitely want it. Bear in mind, I am looking for workhorse keyboards in good condition, and not museum pieces.
I'd prefer to pay personal check (waiting for it to clear is not a problem,) money order, or Paypal - in that order.
Thanks!
EDIT: Silly me. Heat is under AreEss, of course.
