I have this old sony vaio machine that I am looking to turn into a little text editor for when I just want to write. I got the laptop for free, the only problem is that is is about as hot as a flaming brick and and loud as a rocket taking off. Also, the hard drive (made by IBM - of course) is giving my clicks of death and even blue screens of death.
I am looking for a new hard drive to replace it. It is just the standard laptop size IDE. The current drive is only 8gb so nothing high capacity is required.
