I have a couple of socket 1156 motherboards. Gigabyte p55a- UD7 and p55a-UD5.The UD7 is back from an RMA to gigabyte because it would not POST. When I inquired about what they did to fix it, the response was that they replaced a chip, but could not tell me which one. Prior to the RMA it sat unused for 2.5 years. It truly only has about 5 hours of on time. The CPU I used to test was returned to the seller from whom I bought it from on ebay. The CPU was tested by them when they received it to be fully functional. I have since abandoned the 1156 platform and built a new system with an I7-3770k.
I am looking for one of two things:
1. A cheap, working socket 1156 processor with cooling fan, i3 / i5 /i7; less that 50$ with shipping so that I can test these boards and sell them. (Edit) I have had an offer, which I am considering)
2. Someone to buy both motherboards, and a Corsair TX950 which has been used for 24 hours for 250$. Obviously, the boards come AS IS, NO RETURN, there is no guarantee that they work. The Power Supply is fully functional, I just went with a modular one. I am guessing that it has about 2 years of the 5 year warranty left. I will look at my records and see. Both boards will come with most of the original cables. etc. The UDP7 even comes with the watercooling northbridge attachment and the passive one as well. I will have more information on the UDP7 on Monday 3/11 or Tuesday 3/12.
Shipping for all three items would be 30$. I am not willing to split them up. I just want to get rid of them all. For an additional 75$ I am willing to toss in 16 gigs of Corsair Dominator Ram. It is the one with the blue fins on top and the timing is 9-9-9-24. CMP16GX3M4A 1333C9
For another $40 I am willing to throw in 8 gigs of G Skill Sniper F3-10666CL9D-8GBSR it has a jungle picture on the front with a black AK-47.
