WTB: your leftover AMD triple core/quad core AM2+/AM3 cpu...

Like it says, AM2+ or AM3 socket cpu...I just want a cheap drop in for my 12yr old son's rig, his AMD 5000+ dual core is long in the tooth.
 
easy man any quad core should work in it price wise the amd quad core phenom ii 965 or 955 would totally pwn his sytem up. wahtcha doing with teh 5000? would make an awesome Linux Box ..
 
Yeah I should try that...I have a complete spare chassis, mobo, ram, cpu, ide drive, cdrom....I could Linux it, and run a 24/7 F@H Team 33 box eh?


I just want cheap...like half the price of a new triple/quad core....someone has got to have an old leftover collecting dust....
