X-Fi and Inspire 5700

well I received my $100 X-Fi Fatality card today only to find out I'm a dumbass and didnt research enough.....I found out the hard way that the card does not support my speakers

the "digital out" for the "digital-din" connector I belive only supports "stereo" not 5.1......and there are only 2 inputs on the back of my Inspire control box so analog 5.1 connection is out as well

bummer....this is very dissapointing for me as this card sounds awesome with my speakers....guess its return the card or buy new speakers???

oh well....back goes the card I spent alot on these speakers "sniffle"

Analog connection renders as good sound quality as digital one in this case.
I much doubt these speakers use better quality DAC then X-Fi itself.
So just use analog connection, this will work straight away.

I wish I could use the analog connection but the 5700's dont support 5.1 via analog connection

Return it and get a b-Enspirer or X-Meridian, you won't regret it. You can still use the card if you decide to buy a HT later.
