Just revceived an X3220 today from Provantage.com
It's a G0. :D

The room temperature is 81F right now, and this cpu is idling at 38C (air cooled) while overclock to 3.0ghz (1.30v). I'm pretty sure it can run at higher clock, but my mobo (P5W DH) is the weak spot.

so your processor is 6 degree's above freezing on air cooling  I assure you thats celcius.

opps, my bad! :D

I did some more testing.
Running 2 instances of Orthos for dual core for 4 hours, temperature reached 55C max.
I had a B3 Q6600 before this, and G0 is running about 10C cooler.

Quad core users should use Prime95 v25.4 instead which loads all 4 cores. Less hassle than Orthos.

Link: Is your X3220 G0 running 10C cooler at the exact same voltage, MHz and room temperature or is it running 10C cooler because you're able to run it with less voltage at the same MHz as your previous B3 Q6600. Given that these two are pretty much the same price, a G0 X3220 definitely looks like the way to go. What air cooler are you running?

My Q6600 B3 needed .04V more to run stable at 2.9Ghz.
I'm using Thermalright 120 Ultra with a Scythe F-flex fan.
