any reason why the xp-mobile i just bought wouldn't allow me to lower the multi from 13.5?

the board has multi adjustments .. it just won't actually change it when i ask it to

acting locked but i know it's not

I think it's locked. Mine was locked when I bought it in early 2k4. I've got mine running at 172 x 14 = ~2400 Mhz

Works great for me.

problem is my board doesn't have pci/agp lock so i like to set it at 133 or 166 so the dividers are right

at 166x13.5 it's just a bit too fast for 1.65 volts .. prime shows errors after about 10 minutes

if I could do 166x12 that would be great.

Never heard of a locked mobile before .. i think it's my mobo and/or bios

no chance you've got the codes off that chip you have/had?

well i fried my palamino with [H]ard overclocking like that and my wife would kill me if i fried this one

1800mhz is fast enough for now.

i've only got a gforce4 ti4600 and only play tribes2 so it works fine

for surfing the web and other general computing 1800mhz on a barton core is plenty fast

i just hate not haveing complete control you know....
