z5500 sub making "popping" noises

My friend came over and she wanted to hear the song "soul survivor" by young jeezy so i downloaded it and turned my speakers a little past half volume and turned my sub one knotch from the top and near the beggining my sub started to making popping noises. I was freaked out and ran over to turn it down as fast as i could. I then tested other songs to make sure everything was ok and it was. even on the loudest. but when i play that one song with the system volume turned up it pops. I havnt noticed it on anything else yet but im a little concerned. Should i just avoid this song? or is there something wrong with my sub?

My Z-5500's pop all the time because the quality of the power in my appartment complex is terrible.
