I have a 1920x1200 screen. What should i buy:

On stock - Zotac GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB (ZT-88XE760-FSP) 575MHz, 900MHz • Unified Shader/Pixel-Pipelines: 128@1350MHz, ROPs: 24, Speicherbus: 384-bit • HDCP
Right now not posible to deliver (omg, will ask them tomorrow) - ASUS EN8800GTS/HTDP, GeForce 8800 GTS (G92), 512MB GDDR3, 2x DVI, TV-out, PCIe )

I am scared it won't overclok or will give less frames, as for example an evga gts (because evga should be better brand).

The cheapest i can get is this:

300 Money (450 $) - ZOTAC 8800 GTX 768
280 Money (420 $ this is the standard money for a GTS512 here at my place, after the same rebate amount as for the zotac and asus) - EVGA 8800 GTS 512
240 Money (360 $) - ASUS 8800 GTS 512

What should i buy?
Should i buy the ASUS 8800GTS 512 for "360 $" and overclock it to 700/1000? If they can deliver it. If not should i buy the GTX because it's that less more than a GTS from a good brand?
The name ASUS on a graphic card is strange to me :), zotac even more. The GTS512 should be so close to the GTX that i don't need a GTX right?

Tnx for the link, alredy forgot the link :), i read it but it does not give advantage to pay 90$ more in my opionion. If they won't have the cheap GTS than sure i will take the GTX!

My expirienc is enabled AA in UT3 giving under 60 frames gives sure mouse lag response/screen movement not smoothnes, so at the end i need to disable AA.

I agree with skadebo. You should go with the GTX. It's not that much expensive than the GTS 512 you are looking at and it will be much better at that resolution. The only game out there, that a single GTX can't handle at tha res, is Crysis.

For anything up to or equal to 1600x1200, a single 8800 GT or 8800 GTS 512, are more than enough.
For anything above 1600x1200, the 8800 GTX or 8800 Ultra are still the best single card solutions out there.

The topic name should be "8800GTX or 8800GTS for 1920x1200? Price inside $$" :p

I found an XFX 8800 GTX only 60$ more than the cheapest 8800GTS(92) i could get. So for my resolution it should be the GTX, even when the GTS is the new (92) chip.

Hell i should wait for the 9800GTX . But i need the PC also for work and cant wait till March. I think i buy end Januar start of February, when the intel E8400 hits my stores. And i cant change the graphic card later, because it's a company buy, it must stay at least 1 Year so i even should wait more for the 9800GTX it will be 50% more expansive than the GTX right now, thats not that much more at all.
