ziddey said:yikes! What vcore are you running? Maybe try soaking the base of the hsf in vinegar for a few hours. Should remove the oxidized copper. That or just sand it down a little I guess.
question - when I get my E4300 running should I post results here? I know it's technically not a "Conroe" but where else would I show it off?

well there is a quad core in there.. so i wouldnt mind if you entered your allendale cpu.... but we gotta change the name from conroe overclock database to something more creative such as the intel overclocking database..... or the 65nm overclocking database... something of that sort..... go ahead and post the results... i gotta fix up the excel file alot of ram speeds are mixed up... when i rearranged it....
just call it the Core 2 Overclocking Database, then it will include the Quads too.
very funny. next time you post a photochop you could try to do a little betterIMG]http://www.octavewebdesign.com/cpu.jpg[/IMG]
Stock heatsink from Intel. Undervolted it to 1.15 volts and ran orthos stable for 27 hours.
Nice OC there. That's pretty amazing for the voltage you're runningFirst Post
