What a shame. Got 4 new wd20eads drives back from RMA. Model 00W4B0 production date july 2010. Unable to change/view TLER :( On my other 24 drives (00S2B0 / 00R6B0 / 32S2B0) I was able to enable TLER.

I owned a Supermicro SC846TQ-R900B. It sounded like a jetplane :) The setup above is much more silent... Can't get a Norco here either.

Thanks, the stacker is (was) a great case to start with. and yes total raw space is 36TB, 30TB formatted. I'm looking for new ideas to build a high capacity "silent" setup, so if anyone has some.... Storage is addictive :D

I just had to give this case a try with SLI. Even without the 2nd videocard the system gets to hot with the sidepanel closed. It now runs with 1 card and without the sidepanel. The heat of the psu is another problem. Time for some modding I guess. Without additional holes you can't get 8800GTX...

Little update Added 6 more disks, total capacity 12,2TB formatted. Currently 20 disks connected to an Areca 1280ML with 2GB cache. Array is configured as raid 6. Upgraded LAN to 2Gbit. Also added fan controllers to slow down those noisy 5000 RPM fans (not shown on pictures)
