    Corsair: HX vs TX

Hrmm, seems like most people think I need to go up to beyond the 620. So, if I go up to the 850 watt range - what other PSUs are competitive with the tx? Also, I kind of would like a modular power supply (the hx is but the tx is not I believe). Are there any good PSUs in the 850w range that are...

    Corsair: HX vs TX

Hey all. My old PSU (gamexstream) died on me. My rig is fairly old (C2D Q6600 / 7900gt) so I'm not worried about powering this so much as I am my next upgrade - which will be something along the lines of a mid-range i7 and a 295 perhaps. (Not upgrading for another 6 months probably) I've pretty...

    Panasonic HDTV / PC monitor

Yeah, I've considered that model but I hear the GP1U has issues with text that the GP3U corrects, and the GP3U seems a bit pricey and only comes in 32 in. At the moment I feel like I should get a 37 rather than a 32, so I'm considering my options at that size - does anyone else have any...

    Panasonic HDTV / PC monitor

Thanks for the reply. Considering I'll be sitting at nearly half the distance you are, I'll need to get something smaller - the question is, what size, and which? Also, I really shouldn't have named this thread with the "panasonic" out front - I'm not committed to the panasonic - its just my...

    Panasonic HDTV / PC monitor

Hey all, I've posted this on the AVS forum as well to get this opinion on it but since I'm looking for a gaming / PC monitor as well - I'll see what your experience has been. I'm looking to buy a monitor that will double as both an HDTV and a PC monitor for my bedroom. In terms of PC use...

    32" and 120hz?

Hey all - I was wondering if there are any HDTVs (that I can use as a gaming monitor as well) that have 1080p, 120hz refresh rate, and are 32 inches. If so, are these monitors worth getting over something like the 37" westinghouse? I'm planning on using it both as an HDTV and a PC monitor...

    Best 24" sub $500 display

You do know about the horrible inverse ghosting problem that the new 24" dells are having, right?

Need advice on 20" widescreen LCD

I wish they made such a model. There is a 24 inch VA panel which is pretty decent and doesn't have all the extras, and a 24 inch IPS which is ~1200 bucks. The jump between the 20 inch IPS and the 24 is a huge gap in price (400 vs 1200) -- with no real choice in between - or so I have found.

    Help! Monitor decisions!

Well, I was considering the 20wmgx2, but I feel like the relative loss in size vs a 24 inch (of, say, the BenQ) versus the relative gain in picture quality doesn't quite seem worth it. I guess thats my question -- is the difference in image quality versus size a worthwhile trade off for someone...

    Help! Monitor decisions!

From what I've seen of the ghosting on the dell it looks pretty horrid, so I don't think that would work. Are there no IPS screens in the ~700-900 price range that can beat out the VA based monitors?

    Help! Monitor decisions!

Hey all, I'm looking for a new monitor and want some wisdom so I make the right decision. My uses for the monitor are as follows: 1) General PC use (office/non-professional flash/photoshop/web browsing) 2) PC gaming (WoW, HL:2, CS:S ect) 3) DVDs / HDTV (Don't have an Xbox or PS3 atm but...

    24" monitor help

Hrmm, well I haven't personally owned an IPS (I hear their great, but expensive), but I did own a samsung 215TW and thought the picture was quite good. I returned it because it was too slow for CS:S (and bought my current VX922), but I did think the 215 had good color reproduction...perhaps my...

    24" monitor help

Hey all, I wanted to get some advice on which monitor I should get. I'm pretty sure I've narrowed it down to either the LG L246wp, BenQ FP241W, or Dell 2407wfp-hc. I need the monitor for gaming (I'd like it to be fast but I don't **need** speed at the expense of picture quality since my other...
