I still have my 2500k overclocked and it still gets the job done. Could I upgrade? Sure, but I would need to not only upgrade the CPU and Motherboard but the RAM as well.... so it all adds up for ~10fps-~15fps increase. A lot of money per fps
I was getting 56-70 fps using a gtx 980ti and an overclocked 2500k @ 1440p. It was a mixture between ultra and high preset. My brother with a gtx 970 and an overclocked 2500k @ 1080p high preset was getting 70fps-ish.
I run the Philips X2 into a creative x7 external sound card (basically a soundblaster zxr in an external enclosure). I have my windows set to 70 and 99% of the time have to turn down in game volume or else my ears blow off. It does have an amp bit its nothing to write home about.

If they increased the family plan caps I would consider switching but currently they are way to low especially if you are sharing.
Streaming media (video, audio, pictures) has become common place and devices are using more and more data while the data caps do not budge. I believe smartphone...
It is a great card. I had mine for about a week now and love it. The stock fan is noisy though and its a 3 pin so if you want to replace it just make sure you have an adapter or just plug it into one of your mobo fan headers
I guess it all depends on who is fulfilling the order. My order was fulfilled by HPP enterprises. So I had to email them and they got back to me with the code. I lucked out :D
I thought the same thing but if you click on some of the links you can get "instant discounts". I purchased a EVGA GTX 980TI Hybrid from jet.com for 640. It was listed in for 800 something. With the instant discount, the 20% off and waiving the free return...boom good deal

Own an m1 and love the renders so far for this project. Have you ever thought about doing a dual chamber design like the Corsair 240 with the PSU on its side but less 'boxy'
I have a gtx970 running with a ROG Swift monitor and I think it holds up pretty well. I have been playing Witcher 3 and GTA V a lot and mostly everything is on ultra or high (I usually just let the geforce experience profiles take over and then modify it slightly as needed).
I do use GSYC a...
I consider the Z series the official successor to the X-fi series and coming from an X-fi Extreme to a Z I did notice a difference in sound quality. With that being said, since you are using optical DeathFromBelow is correct in that I do not think you would hear any difference in sound quality...
I cheered when I saw this. Does not matter that the 512mb is slower or not in the end there is still 4GB of usable ram. Was it dishonest not to disclose the full truth? Sure, and its perfectly understandable that people are angry over it but saying that it only has 3.5GB of ram is flat out false.
As a former person who fell into the hype of "gaming headsets" I found out that most of them are not worth the money. I have heard really good things about the HyperX clouds and if i were forced to buy a gaming headset that would be easily at the top of that list.
With that being said if...
