If they don't drop prices, then they will lose a fair bit of customers, which in turn will be extremely hard to get back. I am sure AMD has a few things up their sleeves.

My vote, hang in there and wait for some new things to be released because you'll end up with something better for a good price unless of course you're eager to get a cpu right this instant and can't live just a bit longer with out one.

They will RMA if I can't run a full diganostics? I guess I will try that first and see where that leads me. Thank you kindly for the advice.

Thanks for the info guys. I was thinking zero fill utility, but for some reason said low level format. I tried to run some other utilities on the Seagate drive and none of them wanted to work. Just flat out gave me errors. I am lucky that I managed to save some critical data off the drive...

AM2 prices will be cut in half? What does that mean for the X2's?

Just hang in there, conroe will be out soon enough and they will have some good and useful information at that time.
