I checked some manufacturer websites of hard drives and they list different things. Is average seek and average read the same thing or not? Thanks in advance.

If they don't drop prices, then they will lose a fair bit of customers, which in turn will be extremely hard to get back. I am sure AMD has a few things up their sleeves.
My vote, hang in there and wait for some new things to be released because you'll end up with something better for a good price unless of course you're eager to get a cpu right this instant and can't live just a bit longer with out one.

I was thinking zero fill utility, but for some reason said low level format. I tried to run some other utilities on the Seagate drive and none of them wanted to work. Just flat out gave me errors. I am lucky that I managed to save some critical data off the drive...
