    EU passes the "link tax"

Sounds like the reason My brother retired after 20 years in the US Navy w/an E9 rating and gold chevrons and hashmarks(good conduct He said, He never wore them as He just wanted to fit in). Diesel Engines were gone, so He got various stations on shore to fill out His 20yrs, now He lays at rest...

    EU passes the "link tax"

I don't think you understand what swearing an Oath to a POTUS would be, the POTUS is not the US Constitution, saying the 2 are the same is conflation. Swearing an Oath to a POTUS would be an Oath of Fealty or Loyalty, this is not done in the US.

    EU passes the "link tax"

That's Commander in Chief, on Jan 21st 2021 that could change, Nov 3rd 2020 can't get here fast enough. No the military does not swear an oath to a POTUS. Sorry but you don't swear an Oath to a higher Commanding Officer, the US does not do that, one shows respect with a salute and it's returned...

    EU passes the "link tax"

I was in the US Army, I'm speaking from Experience, those in the US Military take an Oath to the US Constitution, not to a POTUS. You are thinking of taking an Oath to a Liter, like Hitler had the German Military do, in the US that is not done.

    EU passes the "link tax"

The US States don't have individual militaries, National Guard troops can be Federalized in a heartbeat.

    EU passes the "link tax"

The US Militaries primary loyalty is to the US Constitution, not to a President.

    EU passes the "link tax"

EU States are Countries with Standing Militaries, States in the US have no standing Militaries and the National Guard does not count since States in the US are not Countries.

Not everyone is elected, Fireman and Police by your logic should be elected, when in reality they are not elected in the US, Canada, Ireland, the UK, or in the EU. I call that BS as a fellow American, though I at least know My ancestry as someone of French, English, and quite possibly Irish...

Energy Revolution: California Approves $768 Million for Electric Vehicles

NYC is fairly compact, LA County is not, more conflation. The smog is much better now, back in the 1960's it looked like a tan cloud, today it's better, not perfect, but LA is a victim of geology, the air even without humans would not be perfect and the tar pits do contribute to it, but then...

Solving Problems that Don't Need to be Solved

Now from what I've read the plates are to be purchased, but they are not mandatory, one would have to extend the wiring in ones car to the front and rear, which currently is not done by any automaker, and yes I live in CA, would I buy 2 of these "plates"? NO, and I'm a registered Democrat.

If one works, if one is not able to work anymore, what then? I could use $20,000.00 a year, it would help a lot of people to have a Universal Basic Income of this amount, and the US could do this, it just lacks the political will to do this, raising the minimum wage can be done at the same time...

Agreed, Me I'd think $1,666.67 a month or $20,000.04 a year as a Basic Income Grant would be better, one wouldn't get rich, but when times are tough, one wouldn't need to apply for UI or if one became Disabled due to an accident, surgery, or time itself, or all 3, one would be secure and not...
