Did Amazon remove the ability to look at the Questions and Answers on their product pages? When I clicked on link above and then the 57 answered questions link on that page it scrolled down the page to reviews. It use to go to a list of questions people had asked with answers (at least the first...
What about just using a small screen/grate/dog gate to wall off the corner with all of that? Heck, even a large cardboard boxed place over that would work.
My job of the last year is not the best place to work. After leaving my last job of 25 years because the place closing, the job I'm at now is go-go-go. They do not allow time to work on fixing my computer on the clock, I do not even get a lunch. If I want to eat something I have to do it while I...

Hit configure and your choice is Win10 pro or Win 11 pro. When purchasing a new tablet/laptop it's common to go for the latest OS.
As far as software I agree, none "require" it though most support it.
Try and keep it clean and put up- when not in use. I did find when it happens I'm getting a USB device undetected error in Device Manager (even with no usb plugged in). I caught it last time it did it and disabled that item and it seems to be working ok since. But it's not every time as it was...
I have a toughbook 33 that I use at work. It is running Windows 11.
Lately, my pen and touchpad will stop working at the same time and the only to fix it is a reboot. If it was just one or the other I'd have a clear idea of the problem, but these are basically two different interfaces. The...
Also, if you use a UPS then what's it rated at. I have a APC 750ES. When I really push my EVGA 3080 12GB (MSFS with everything ultra and render scale pushed up to 200) the UPS alarm will start beeping. These new cards draw a ton of watts. People think a UPS is only for backup power, but they...
If you had to choose between the Asus RT-AX86U aX5700 and the RT-AX92U AX6100 which one would you choose and why? What advantages/disadvantages do each have over the other?
I'm currently using a D-Link DIR-655 that I've had for ages. It's starting to show it's age requiring restarts...
I'd like to thank everyone. The OS is installed (after a whole day updating) with all drivers and working great, the PC is packed up and ready to send out to him tomorrow.
I had on hand a MSI sli plus z170a and a intel 6600. I added 16GB memory, a Samsung 850 EVO, EVGA 6GB 1060SC, thermatake 750W Tough Power. It's not going to be extreme top of the line, but should be strong for a while and still upgradable for later.
The update to 1709 was doing the same thing...
No, from the install disc which I assume is an older version
On a SSD. Install went fine. Installed all drivers except nVidia drivers which required later version of Win10, so I did the updates (requires being connected to the net). That's where things are going slowly, updating Windows 10 to...
Thanks guys, installing it now. I installed Win10 on my system (this one) about a year ago using a local account only and keep it that way. Getting older and CRS kicked in so didn't remember what all I had went through.
He wants his to be able to connect to his microsoft account so that he can...
I'm building a new PC for my grandson. I have a unactivated copy of Win10 Pro that I plan on installing, but I've got a question.
Win10 wants your Microsoft Account when you first log in. I want it set up to where when he gets it, he can make it his (his Microsoft Account, etc.), but I need to...
I currently have a Samsung SyncMaster 226BW which is 22" and 1680x1050 res at 60hz.
I'm getting older and seeing things on this screen is sometimes getting harder. I have a recently built system including a 980ti and do some gaming (Arma3/Tomb Raider/Flight simming/etc.) but it's mostly single...
Just an update. Finally got the Samsung 950pro m.2 in tonight to finish the build and installed Windows 10 Pro from USB, using my Win7 Pro OEM key and Windows 10 installed and activated without ever having to install Windows 7 first.
From reading the activation website at Activation in Windows...

Mine is a Win 7 Pro "OEM". The reason I was asking is because I'm building a new system and want to make sure the OS is installed on the SSD as UEFI mode. I've heard it's harder to install the OS drive as UEIF mode (GPT) with Win 7 than Win 10.
I have a brand new oem win7 that has never been installed (bought from newegg).
Can i install win10 from usb and use the win7 key without ever installing win7?
Or do I have to install win7, upgrade to 10 and then do a clean win10 install?
I know this is an old post, but I just ran across this problem trying to install a new WD 1TB hard drive in a older system with a Gigabyte GA-8knxp MB. I bought a 1TB drive to replace my third drive which houses Linux on my Dual-Boot machine. BIOS and both OSes reported 33mb for the drive...
1GB to boot.
From what I've seen of PCIe reviews, the 4670in 512mb is a hair slower than the 3850 in 512mb. Unless the 1gb makes a difference, my guess is that it's just a move to a more available platform.
What kind of shit are you spewing? Swine flu doesn't travel the globe because poor people can afford to fly. You are no better than any of these poor trash people (your words). In fact you are worse. Get off your high horse and get a fucking life.
This looks much faster and not only that, can be used in place of ram, rom and HDs. Use electrons as storage and move them along nano size wires with the read/write heads remaining still. I hope it comes to fruition.
Paul, they are an artifact in the sense that it is actually introduced in the power wires by system components operating.
Timme, you have to consider these .5v spikes are occurring for less than 1/1000000000 of a second (the PICO can actually measure down to 80 Million samples per second)...
Paul, I captured some noise for you at work so you can compare. This is in a shop environment with cars running, shop fans, etc.
These are captured at the same settings with the leads attached and open to the air.
Here's the 5 second capture:
and here's the zoomed capture showing in a few...
Paul, maybe with what you are using, buffering the signal with a capacitor is required for the type of results you are trying to capture.
I was not measuring to any specifications or trying to allude that I was. I was taking a extremely high resolution capture to show micro spikes that are...
Paul, I hooked up probes to the 12v + and - and 5v + and - of an empty drive lead. I hooked up to channels A and C of the scope to be able to use the full resolution of the Dual 80MHz ADCs (one runs channels A-B, one runs channels C-D). No capacitors were used and doing so would only skew the...
Was bored tonight and had my PICO 4423 scope home from work, so I thought I'd take it after my Corsair HX620W PS and see just how steady the volts are. Note that this is with all the peripherals hooked up and the PC running. The PICO is hooked to my work laptop.
So lets get started. Let's start...
