The failover option makes the nic act like a three port switch with IPMI, normal i210 nic and the connection to the rest of your network. If you go into the IPMI web interface you can change the failover mode.
You aren't alone in this hobby. I started collecting Netware servers for home use when I was in high school with sites like 2cpu for help when I moved to dual PII's and NT4 which was a long time ago. Going the IT route did make the hobby slightly less enjoyable, doing other stuff now. Keep...
Post more info on your config. RAID level, drives used, expander or direct connect, etc. My guess at this point is using consumer SSD's and the pause is for garbage collection.
I can confirm the scanner assembly from an H825cdw works on the s2825cdn. I did have to reuse my ADF, not sure if the issue I was seeing was the replacement ADF being bad, missing parts or the replacement ADF being rev A0 vs A1.
The control panel from the H825cdw also appears to work. It has...
I am on the same firmware as you, 201802280649. Tried updating to the latest but isn't taking it.
062-380 seems to be a common error on Dell and Xerox printers. On the Dell ones it seems to come up shortly after the warranty is up. Only fix I am seeing is replacing some parts in the scanner. I...
14 months, 152 pages later and the printer is dead. 062-380 code on the scanner which prevents the printer from working. Dell shows $186.55 to extend the warranty online which fails, on the phone they say they can't extend the warranty and I can't find parts for the scanner.

I guess I am lucky, my carrier is slightly less lazy and uses the ditch next to my mail mailbox. I just wish I had kept the video of him doing it but I did keep five others from the last two months.
At least it makes it to your door. My regular USPS driver is so lazy packages are left on top of the mailbox. If they are too big they get tossed on the ground in the mud. The driver that covers occasionally for the regular guy is a bit better. He actually turns into my driveway leans out the...
The Supermicro board is decent but like has already been stated they are out of touch with the enthusiast market. I did have to update the bios for the Samsung 950 to boot and it was from USB but that's never been an issue for me. The issues I had are things most people won't be concerned with...
I had that board for about a week before sending it back. It does work with a Samsung 950 pro. Ended up switching to an Asrock Z170 7+ which worked better for my setup. Both support PCIe connection through the M.2 slot.
I don't entirely agree with it being too expensive to deliver. I am 10 minutes from a main UPS hub and many times I have had other packages being delivered on the same day. If UPS or Fedex looked at the other items they are already delivering, putting one more box on the truck to deliver to the...
They tried the same thing on me a few years ago. I appealed online with a copy of the letter they gave me stating they have possession of the item. That fixed it but shouldn't be a issue the customer has to deal with.
I still hate USPS tho. Most of the people that come to my house are lazy...
A long time ago, I used Starwind which was free for up to two targets but I am not sure if it would work on Win7.
The big issue I see you having is the ISCSI target needs to be a dedicated drive or a virtual drive on the host. Sharing a drive where both systems can read and write to it will...
TWC is a bit slower than Comcast in upgrades but at least you can use the connection. When I was on Comcast they tried to shut me down for an "invisible" cap which lead me to waste a ton of money on a business connection. On TWC, back when I had a 30mb and 50mb connection, there was several...
Most people go with grid tie solar systems that spin your meter backwards during the day. Batteries are only needed if you setup a battery backed or offgrid system and $500 won't get you far. Just think of it as paying your electric bill 5-10 years in advance.
The chassis is fairly quiet but it's hard to tell with all the other servers. Write speeds will be fine, there are multiple SSD's being used for cache. It's a Supermicro chassis, will wait on posting specs till I take some pics.
Preview of what's to come...
Still waiting on a few drives to show up. But 72TB, 1u, <200w 2012r2 storage spaces.
Yes the pics are self hosted but 6 years later the old ones are still up in the last showoff thread.
Most likely Active Directory which means 2000, 2003, 2008 or 2012 server. The big issue is what hardware are you running or are you using windows RAID? That will help to determine what hard drives you can use and how you will access the configuration to rebuild the array.
The first thing I...
Make it a minimum drive count of ~8. The 1U Supermicro box I just ordered will hold 12 to replace the 26 2TB drives in my current server. The goal for next year is sub 4 digit power bills.
I'll probably jinx myself especially since my last UPS delivery was by a trainee but they have never caused me any issues. USPS on the other hand I could write a book on. Packages left on top of mailbox along street, packages left under mailbox in the mud along the street, package left behind my...
Close, the bumper is made of 1/4" Prius resistant steel.
Your exactly right. Many long bed trucks and large SUV's carry about 40ga stock and there are aftermarket tanks around 60ga. One of my trucks is a older dual tank design upgraded with a 40ga front and 45ga rear tank the other truck has...
It's mainly the stations trying to prevent getting screwed by a fraudulent transaction. The limit tends to vary some, I have never ran across one that limited at $75. Most of the ones I have seen are $99 or $100 but I have run one that set the limit at $150.
I just hope with a chip and pin that the gas stations get red of their $100 limit per swipe at the pump. Tired of swiping a card, having the pump cut off, swiping again, cut off, swiping a different card, cut off, etc.
My local USPS needs one of those claws to get them out of their truck. They prefer to leave small packages on top of my mailbox and larger ones underneath it in the mud. It still amazes me that nothing has been stolen yet.
Can't say for a vid card but with mainboards they suck.
Started out while gaming and the system suddenly shut down. I hit the power button and the MB caught on fire. RMA'd it and amazingly got the same one back cleaned up with parts replaced. Plug it in, immediately catches fire in the same...
Hate to rub it in but we have 3 providers that have promised 1gb connections for around $70/mo. 300mb will be a nice boost till the others get around to laying fiber. I just hope fiber comes to my house before Comcrap and their pathetic cap does.
So far I have 87 lbs of stuff in a box for you, shipping is going to suck. :(
4x 20+4 ATX PSU's, dual 1ghz PIII with mb/ram, 3.0 P4 with mb/ram, bunch of IDE/SCSI HDD's, controllers, vid cards and other misc stuff.
