I can't understand why the new Laser tech by Okidata is not used in all laser printers. Do they have a patent on it? If so, when does it expire? Seems to me that this tech is far superior than the moving parts laser tech.

What manufactures besides Okidata are making this type of printer? Just for clarification this is not the old Laser teck. This has no moving parts like the old Laser teck but scans the entire line at one time.
