    Dell customizable desktop

I'm from the old school where Dell would let you customize your desktop. Now I have to take whatever they offer. The precision will let you customize somewhat but not completely. Ex. I want a windows computer without windows 8. I want a 1tb HD and they only offer 500mb. They give you...

    can't boot windows 7 pro 64-bit

I have a HP pavilion p7-1380t. (about 2 years old) I have tried all suggestions found on the web and none work. Have tried various boot up programs and they don't work. When I boot up here is what I see: black screen, mouse only flashes for a second, "F" keys do nothing, DVD flashes for a...

    Maybe a motherboard problem

Thanks for any advice. I have a p7-1380t HP. I was playing around with a device to let me dual boot without dual booting software. Now the computer will not boot up. I think I fried the motherboard but am not sure. Here is what happens when I press the power button. The fans start up, the...

    new desktop

Not sure where I should put this. If you move it please tell me where... 1st let me say I do NOT have the skills to build my own desktop. I am afraid of these out of the country computer mfgs. It's becoming rather hard to find companies that make desktop computers. Dell for instance won't...

    PT628

This is a device to allow switching from one HD to another without dual booting. Can't find any diagrams to help me connect it. I have a picture of the device but can't post on this forum. I have no idea if this is in the right forum. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    can't connect to the internet

First let me say I have no idea where to put this message. If you move it please let me know where. I had a pavilion p7-1380t which when testing Windows 10 in my infinite wisdom managed to fry the motherboard. This is what I think happened. So I dug up my old Dell GX80 running Windows...

    a b switch

I have included a picture of the device I need. As far as I know there is no such animal. I hate dual booting and the problems that go alone with it. Sure would appreciate some advice on how, and where I could get this made. If I have not made something clear, please post it here and I...

So OLED is dead for at least another 10 years.

I find it rather disserting that companies can't find an economical way to produce these TVs. We can go to the moon but not find a way to do this. Pity. Maybe a lot of time will change all this.

    OLED TV

04-24-2014 1st let me state that I consider myself an informed customer and not an expert. Hhgregg has an LG Oled tv in their store. A word like "WOW" seems inadequate to describe the picture of this tv. More appropriate would be "STUNNING". The salesman was an idiot as...

    OLED/Kateeva

There is a very interesting and technical article on the oled-info.com/oled-tv web site. It's about the development of printing OLED TV screens. Looks like a year or so for them to get up to speed. I'm sure there are people here that can understand what they are talking about. I hope someone...

Tiger-Direct is offering this monitor for $130 dollars. 24", 1920x1080, 16:9, 40000000:1, 5ms How can this be? The price alone worries me as much as a Hanns monitor.

    Graphene and OLED

Can someone elaborate how Graphene will effect the new OLED tech in Tvs. Will it bring down the price drastically soon? Will it help solved the Blue deterioration? Can it be used instead of the OLED existing tech.? Please in layman terms.

    Brother B/W mfp LED PRINTER

Brothers site is a nightmare. I am looking for an LED Printer. This is not a LASER Printer. It needs to be b/w and MFP. Do they make one? If not who does with the same specs?

    Korea and LG OLED

The LG OLED tvs were supposed to be marketed in Korea this month. Haven't seen anything about it. Are they for sale in Korea now? When will we see them in the USA? Why is Samsung dragging their feet on this new Tech? OR do we have to wait yet another year????

    A little bit of levity

His/her TV problems solved. Hang two 25" OLED tvs at the end of the bed. With two remotes and two ear phones. No more tv squabbles:) Can't draw but would make a good cartoon.

    Laser Tech

I can't understand why the new Laser tech by Okidata is not used in all laser printers. Do they have a patent on it? If so, when does it expire? Seems to me that this tech is far superior than the moving parts laser tech.

    laser printers

Not sure where to put this and I might have asked this before but can't remember - age you know :D What printers employ the new tech for lasers? I think the Okidata does but not sure if the company is reliable. Where can I get one. Then what about repairs if I need it? As I understand it...

    Medical OLED 25" monitor

The new LED teck for printers

What manufactures besides Okidata are making this type of printer? Just for clarification this is not the old Laser teck. This has no moving parts like the old Laser teck but scans the entire line at one time.

    Dell S series

Why is Dell constantly changing the model names of monitors? First what is an "S" series monitor?? Is it any better than the Ultra Dell monitor? I don't think so. as a side: If I wanted to order an ASUS monitor I couldn't. Their web site is a nightmare. Would I want a monitor...

    Dissatisified with Dell computers

Hope this is in the right place. If not please move it and tell me where you put it. I asked Dell for a computer with no OS on the hard drive and a dvd with the full Windows 7 pro 64-bit. They could not or would not accomodate me. So I am looking around for another Mfg. that I can get...

    beating the dead horse OLED

I understand that the half life of the OLED panels is not good. Has any company solved this yet? Has the blue problem been solved? So why would any company want to produce a tv/monitor with these problems until they have been solved, if they ever will be? This is the babble of a novice...

enlighten me please in layman's terms

Thank you for any clarification. What is AUO's oxide-tft oled tv? How would it apply to a consumer like me. Please explain Amoled and Dupont nozzle-printing technology. Does this imply an inferior technology? Also heard about a S. Korean firm that is making printed OLED goodies on...

    Building your own computer

I'm getting pretty disgusted with Dell and HP. Have been programming for 40 years. Have decent mechanical skills. Not an engineer. Have taken out disk drives, floppies and batteries. I generally feel that I could assemble a PC, if I could get past the nightmare of what and where to buy the...

Is there a category for printers here?

I've had it with HP Printers. Bad software, bad support, obsoleting policy, warrenty happy, etc...... I just lost everything and my backup failed. OLED/AMOLED

If they can make these dumb phones with amold or oled, why can't they make a 24" monitor with this technology? I needed it yesterday at a reasonable price. I don't want to hear about 2015. Why perpetuate this crappy ISP technology?

    24 inch OLED monitor

How long before I might get a 24 inch OLED monitor? Years, Months? I don't see any sense in buying an H-ips monitor if this will be so much better. Thanks for any insight.

    thoroughly confused

I've been reading here for quite awhile. Seems like a good h-ips monitor is way out of the price range for the average person. A decent h-ips monitor should not cost more that $300 to $400. I am sure if I live long enough the prices will come way down. But now they have thrown in another...

    Coming soon 1/4 " TVs

1/4 quarter inch in thickness. I guess these will be low end TVs. But if JVC is making one it shouldn't be to bad. Question is will they do the same thing with puter monitors and will they be low end? Makes me kind of glad I haven't bought anything yet.

Msgs. don't list the type of monitor

I bought a Dell FP Ultra sharp thinking I was getting top of the line. The monitor I have is a PVA. I have been unable to find any mfg that lists if a monitor is s-ips, h-ips, tn or pva. I've been on the PChardware site and it is out of date so it seems. So how do I tell what I am buying...
