Actually, in my case it's not a myth. I recently replaced my 17" CRT with the Dell 2405FP and it saving me a bunch of useful desk space cause I do my homework on the same desk. With the old CRT monitor in place, I never really had any desk space to do my assignments on it, but with the new LCD...
