24in Scaling vs. 27in 1:1, which is better?

Let's say for a particular game, the video card is not powerful enough to run at 1920x1200, so we have to lower the resolution to 1680x1050.

Which one will look better, A or B?
A. 24in monitor with a smaller pixel size but scaled to use the full 24in screen but at 1680x1050.

B. 27in monitor using 1:1 and only using the 1680x1050 portion of the screen so the effective size is about 22.5in.


It seems like the best 2 monitors today is the Benq 241 vs. the Dell/Samsung 27in LCD

the native 1:1 will always look best, but in games it's not REALLY noticable (eg, xbox 360 1280x720 on a 1380x768 tv.)
