can i run three monitiors off a x800 PCIe video card and one ATI compatible PCI card? not for gaming just for desktop apps? picture slideshow and such.

third monitor that would run off the PCI card would be a LG 44" LCD at 1280 x 720.

as long as cards are driver/gpu compatibile it should work right? and I could run three windows similtaniously?

what is a good cheap card to pair with the X800??

thanks

Yes it will work fine.

X800 will be using the ATI legacy driver, the latest of which is 10.2 I believe. So any ATI card that is supported in the 10.2 drivers would be your best bet.

Though to avoid some issues with catalyst control center, I'd recommend installing the catalyst drivers for the X800 first, then pop in the PCI card and allow windows to automatically install whatever drivers it finds for that as opposed to running the catalyst driver install again.

I ran both of my 4870x2's along with an X300 PCI for a while so that I could have extra monitors and it worked fine.
