I know it's a stretch, but is it possible? EVGA recommends a 400w psu and a +12 Volt current rating of 18 Amps. Do they mean one rail or in total to compensate for other system components?

12v1 - 8.0 amps
12v2 - 14.5 amps

I'd also like to run an AM2 3800 X2 (or just vanilla 3800 if the X2 is too hungry), 1 HDD, 1 DVD drive, and a single stick of ram.

Thanks

Depends on the power supply. Obviously, a Shuttle can run one, so it would need to be a top quality 300 watter to avoid issues. :)

The 7600GS is very frugal on power consumption.
it actually uses only about 8 or 9 watts less than a 7600gt. thats not a bad thing since a 7600gt uses less power than a 6600gt. a decent 300 watt psu with only one hd and one dvd drive should have no problem with a 7600gt or gs. they are both pretty frugal. :D

Is it hte PC in your sig? If so, you should have no problems at all.
