A-DATA Extreme Edition 2 x 1GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory $79.99AR

I thought promos were pretty good?

Nothing wrong with them...for the price

May be it is me, but I got 4 sticks (4 x 1GB) of Corsair Promos... and trying OC over 2 mobos (DFi p965-s / Abit ab9 quad GT) in big disappointment... Even with 2 sticks (which was slightly less problematic), stock timing (4-4-4-12 @ v2.1) wasn't stable... Haven't used Micron D9xxx RAM yet, but ordered RAM will be here today...
I'll pass the Promos for all cost for awhile...

Could be the bridge or the board just doesn't like them. Promos are pretty decent if you can get them at a good price. Usually can get close to 1K Mhz. They also don't like V too much.

agree that... certain point I dropped the voltage to 1.9 which was the factory setting on DFI mobo, and it was most stable stage. Talked to Corsair tech even, and he suggested to up volt to as it was advertised (v2.1)... OC is really alike art... you never see the end.. ;)
