A question about using Firefox and Yahoo.com

Okay, here's a quickie for you Mac pros.

why is it that when I tru to set my Firefox homepage to the regular www.yahoo.com it always goes to the stupid new Yahoo homepage which I hate with a passion.

I've tried to set the homepage within Firefox prefs to www.yahoo.com but it always seems to go to the http://m.www.yahoo.com/ page.

how can I stop it from doing that? I just want to be able to go to the plain Jane Yahoo page.

It's a redirect, there is no way to make it not do that.

Go to the bottom of the page and click 'Return to Classic Yahoo.com'. Once you try it once it stores a cookie and redirects you to the new version on future visits. Clicking the link will set the old page back as default.

hell yes. I can't stand the new version the way it pops up those windows whenever you hover over the links on the left like the finance links and so on.

that crap was driving me nuts!
