Ok, I am looking to seperate my 10/100 devices from my gigabit section of my home network.
Cable Modem-->Smoothwall Box-->Switch
The smoothwall box and also a print server are my current 10/100 devices which I would like to have seperate from my gigabit switch.
I have three PC's with Intel Pro/1000MT that run on the SMC 8 port gigabit switch.
I'm looking for a cheap 8 port 10/100 switch with 1/2 gigabit uplink ports.
Only reasonable ones I've found so far are Asante and SMC.
I already have an SMC 8 port gigabit switch that has been working flawlessly.
Which model would you go with to run in conjunction with the existing SMC switch?
SMC-EZ109DT
8 10/100 and 1 100/1000
LInk
OR
Asante FriendlyNET GX5-208
8 10/100 and 2 100/1000

Comments, suggestions???
