Ah, my 74GB Raptor is lacking space, need replacement

So, I've always thought that "74gb is more than enough for an OS and a few apps", and it turns out that I have about 15gb left on this drive and its starting to scare me. I'm looking for a replacement and I have a few questions:

Is the Raptor150 really worth it when I can get a Seagate 750GB for the same price? Will I notice a huge performance loss with a modern 7200rpm drive?

I just reformatted, does Ghosting still work with a 64-bit Vista install?

Nope, with the newer revisions of the larger drives you might notice a performance increase even. The low density of the Raptors brings down their transfer rates, they'll still win in seek time benchmarks...but we know which one's more important right.

I'd agree - go with a high performing 7200 RPM drive like the WD6400AAKS and you'd be very happy. I really like my WD6400AAKS, its performance was noticably faster than the samsung spinpoint 500 i took out. The WD6400AAKS run about 130 which would save you a couple bucks too and still net you 640GB of space.
