AMD's new naming scheme

What's interesting in all this is that there's no direct reference to the number of cores a CPU contains, leaving that to the X2 or X4 suffix on the brand name.

Yay, the naming scheme will make it clear to us how to compare two CPUs.. or not.

I completely agree. Judging by this they MUST be concentrating on releasing their products 'cause no concentration went into the names..........

yes. Transparency, while good for the consumer, reduces the profits for the supplier.

I love how both amd and intel have naming schemes that make you say, "EH "

On the bright side at least they are both consistent. It just isnt fair to the consumer to have one company that makes sense and the other not make sense. This way everyone is left confused and mislead.
