Within minutes of the x1800xl obtaining published benchmarks from [H]ard|OCP, i received an email notification from the customer smile machine announcing the availability of the part.

how many registered ATi card owners received the same email?


i was fairly impressed with that simple action of being notified immediately and personally when the card finally materialised on store shelves... barring the unpersonal nature of a bcc, mind you.

this was the first 'paper' they sent me about the launch and the product appeared the same day i received the email. the email was similar when x850 launched. as well when crossfire-s ready cards were availible.

i'd be happy to see them keep this apparent pattern of an automated email heads up when the doins are a transpirin.

for some reason i feel reassured by it.
