ATI x850 256MB AGP card- $400 @ compusa

FYI, Best Buy has it for $399 - $50.00 rebate = $349, plus you get a $20.00 digital coupon
 
Strange, the page lists it as clocked like a PE and says Plat Ed all over it. Why do you think it's not a PE? Think it's a bait and switch?
 
uhh... The thing is a PE. It specifically says Platinum edition under "The world's Most powerful VPU" The numbers are different though, which could mean that compusa is putting some BS on teh table.
 
It's not a PE. What's listed under "The world's most powerful vpu" is a cut and paste from ATI's marketing page for the X800 XT PE, not the X850 XT PE.
They just never changed the market specs for the product. Note that the clocks listed are X850 XT clocks, not X850 XT PE clocks.

It's a good deal for the card, but it's neither a X800 XT PE, or a X850 XT PE. ;)
