Im testing some new 2Tb + drives and using this command from an ubuntu cd:
badblocks -c 10240 -s -w -v /dev/sda1

It runs through the test, then says done. Even with the -v it does say good or bad or anything. Does "done" mean no bad blocks?

Yep, it means it wrote and read back everything just fine.

If it found bad spots, it would print the block numbers, one per line.
