Well I just called up Best Buy and asked them price match my BFG 6800U with THEIR OWN new price (it's $50 cheaper now than it was when I ordered it). They wouldn't do it. They said cancel your order and buy again. It's out of stock. Assholes. I think I'm going to cancel my order and never shop there again but before I do I need to find some place else who offers the product. So does anyone else know where I can find a BFG 6800U for $550 or less?

P.S. Best Buy can eat my shit and DIE.

Edit: You know what, screw BFG while we're at it. If anyone can link me to a place that has ANY 6800U in stock [or close to in stock date] I would appreciate it greatly.

I hate this new 'numbers' system we've moved too. They want me to work in computer AND Digital Cameras. I flat out told them I'll only handle DCs. Copmuters fuck with your ESP too much if you can't get any protection on them.

And get it when? After Doom3? Not an option. That and hell would freeze over before I bought an ATI product over one of their add-in partners. I'd much rather take a HIS IceQ II XTPE. You link me to an instock of that and I'll jump ship right now.

all of the PE are on back order but i talked to CDW last week and the lady said they are sceduled to have a shipment in on the 16th if the manufacture didnt postpone on them again, which isnt their fault.

EVERYONE WHO GOT A 6800 OR X800 FROM BB LISTEN UP

So you are probably just as confused as I am as to why you can not get a $50.00 refund on a product that isn’t even past its thirty day 'price match' date. Well the short answer is that BestBuy Online’s policy is different from the actual shop in that when you buy online you can not price match worth a damned no matter what you say or do

(Some moron on Futuremark is saying he managed to get it by talking to someone on the phone. SHENS is what I say because it simply can not be done)

So what can you do? The answer is pretty easy to do but only if you live near a BestBuy store. Simply take your new video card (hopefully if it is a 6800 you have not gotten it - so do not open it right away as it will complicate things a bit) into the store and go to the customer service stand. Ask them to refund you the money but once they finish doing that, have them charge you again for it for the NEW ADVERTISED PRICE. They may not be able to price match per say, but they are able to refund your purchase in full and then have them sell you the card you just brought in.

The reason why it is best to do this with a sealed product is because BB may or may not charge you a restocking fee and they may or may not be willing to sell you back an open product since they are pretty much obligated to either return those to the warehouse or mark them as refurbished products and would not want to expose themselves to that kind of liability.

I did this with my sealed X800 XT:pE, did it with my sealed X800 PRO and this Tuesday I will do it with my sealed Ultra and then sealed GT.

Unless of course this is a July 4 Sale which ends Monday [CC's Ju;y 4 sales end on the 5th] in which you'll be just as fucked as the rest of us.
 
All this Bogus Buy crap is getting on my nerves.

Just order the damn thing from somwhere else and be done with it. Less hassle, less headaches, and you'll be happy with a new card.

Only on the 6800s (already got my cash back on both X800s). Even then you can swap it for the price of another location if you bring an ad / URL and have them price match that. :rolleyes:

Are the new BB prices for 6800s for 4th of July only ?? I wonder if if the prices are coming down

BFG comes to $381.60 with tax and I only have $380.51 on my bank account.. I cant deposit untill tuesday and if this deal ends on tuesday then Im gonna go cry for real... for only a buck im losing 40 dollars dammnit

I am referring to the section containing the CDs, DVDs, computer software, console systems, console games, CD & MP3 Players, boomboxes, karaoke machines, cordless phones, toys, and all those Sharper Image gadgets...I'm pretty sure you don't sell all of that. Stocking 14 boxes of CDs and DVDs a day around the holidays is always fun when you're the only person working the department, not to mention the pay is less.

Forgive me if I seem bitter, but I had the choice of working with computers or accessories...computers was seasonal, accessories was full time and I wanted full time because of the guaranteed hours (managers, of course, never tell you exactly how many hours "seasonal" entails). Seeing the hours even the seasonal computer guys got, I'm still angry I didn't go to the computer section. Oh, and I knew a good deal more than most of the department's employees as well... :mad:

Get a best buy card and finance it.

And no way man, Product Specialists have it easy compared to Tech Specialists. They don't have to worry about ESP, attachments, and at least in my store, their section is a 1/4 the size of my section. Usually I jump ship from my department and get hang out with them.

Yea, computers defently seems to be alot easier if you know what your talking about... those 5 boxes of movies to put out don't make for a good time at all. Although getting the 'cheese' on computer stuff is a bit harder for sure. Hell, some days when there are no movies I probly spend at least 1 hour total browsing the interenet :p

Its kinda funny, the soho manager asks me all the time to go over there and help, the soho employees ask me questions about their product, and I have even done the training... but since the store manager is out of town and also in anouther store, I can't be moved. Its been like that for weeks! So frustrating...

Why am i so happy to see BB screw stuff up..... ohh thats right I work at RadioShack.
That is quite messed up that they won't give the 50 bucks back. I price protect stuff for people no problem. Sigh....
