What is generally the best color calibrator? Spyder3 Pro or something else... I don't want just the basic calibrator but I don't want top of the line either something in the middle...

Im extremely limited in knowhow here but I have been doing a lot of reviews lately and the Spyder3 seems to be right in the middle. The Pro is higher end and then there is one step higher but I think that is software at that point that you install etc....

Concerte source please, I sure can't find one. Just a few comments abought the white point possibly being off.

All colorimeters will be inaccurate on a wide-gamut display without a correction matrix. Unless you are sure that a particular calibration software has a wide-gamut correction matrix for your instrument, you'll need to look at buying a spectrophotometer instead.

For accuracy you either want a Spectrophotometer that will give accurate results with all types of monitors, or you need a colorimeter that is matched/corrected for your particular monitor.

Edit: Spelling fix for the pedantic. :D
