A big surprise...Wait and see it seems. But the major point right now, is that NVIDIA is not going to leave the chipset business, as "someone" likes to repeat. Must be really frustrating to be wrong almost every time

Well it's no longer a surprise. Not sure where Nvidia is going with this though, pretty soon all chipset stuff will be on-die. Intel will run out of things to do with their transistor budget pretty soon.

Not sure that that's the only thing he was referring to. He does mention "exciting new projects that they are still working on" and that certainly can't mean the ION mentioned in your link.
