built in bluetooth on laptop & bluetooth mouse

If my laptop has builtin bluetooth can it act as the receiver for a bluetooth mouse vs having to use the bluetooth receiver/charger/hub that comes with the mouse. I am leaning towards purchasing the Logitech MX 900.

Yes, I have a Sony Vaio VGN-S260p it has built in bluetooth and I have a MX-900 and they both work fine together.

it is NOT plug and play, you must tell the mouse to go into pairing mode by hitting the ch button on the undersidem, then tell your BT transciver to find avalible BT devices, pair the devices, wake the mouse up and then start using it, also you will notice some lag when you want to bring the mouse back out of hibernation.
