Hey all... I've been fooling around with my system today and I just noticed that I was NOT running in AGP8x.

System specs are as follows:

P4 3.0c
Intel D865GBF
Geforce 6800 GT
1024MB PC3200 Corsair

Ok... first off, I hate this motherboard. The thing has absolutely no settings in its BIOS (Which are the latest bios) for AGP speed. I would never have bought this thing if I didnt get such an amazing deal on the proc\mobo.

Secondly, I just recently installed the VIA Hyperion 4 in 1 drivers (455v).

3dMark 2005 details says this:

Slot 1/7 (AGP 2X)
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT
Order 0
Designation J6C1
Type AGP 2X
Characteristics 3.3V
Data Bus Width 32 b
Details In Use, Long
Device Class Display Adapter
Manufacturer NVIDIA
Driver Version 7.1.2.0
Driver Date 12-2-2004
IRQ 16

Under my Geforce 6800GT graphics card information, it says:

Bus: PCIx0

Now.. remember, there is NO place in my BIOS where I can adjust the AGP Bus speed... and yes my motherboard for certain supports AGP 8x. But I just cant get it on for the life of me.. I'm completely out of ideas :(

Anyone that can give me any insight?

i think you can change its speed in the drivers under agp settings, but i think u need coolbits to have the agp settings tab there

why did you install via chipset drivers when you have an intel chipset based mobo?

Well I have coolbits... no luck. I looked all around for a setting (I could have sworn I've seen one before)

But cannot find anything :(

Ahhh... it just took a little playing around with Rivatuner. Thanks anyways guys :)

Just gave it a try... I was not thinking sirs!

This is the first P4 \ non-VIA mobo I've had, so my first impulse in this case was to download the VIA drivers :p

Don't lynch me!
