I am pondering on getting this memory, however I have an issue

My question is that could I possibly reduce the timing to cas 7? I know it's a shot in the dark but that make it a solid deal for me

I really like this and rather get this, but if I cant reduce the timing well oh well I will still get them, but I just wanna know...

Honestly you won't notice ANY difference in real world applications from 8 to 7. You might see slightly better numbers in synthetic benchmarks.

Other than my $0.0199, I have no experience with Corsair Memory at all.
 
The only way to know for sure is to try. But as noted, you won't be able to see the difference between CAS8 and CAS7 except in synthetic benchmarks.
 
I believe i had this set @ 7-7-7-20. It's been a while since ive been in my bios. It might have been 24 instead of 20. My last PC lasted 6 years, so who knows if the 12GB over the 6GB will be a total waste in the years to come :)
